My take is that philosophy is the mother of all sciences and beliefs. It is the root of scientific thought. Empiricism, combined with Rationalism makes up the bulk of the rationale of science. Science is not all about observations, it’s about deriving theories, hypotheses from these observations. Eventually, the logical base in science which is used to create all these theories and hypotheses is derived from philosophy. Science is a method which applies philosophical views to practice.

Even religion draws its roots to philosophical branches such as Metaphysics, Ontology and Ethical Reasoning.
